Women Walk the World
Apr 28, 2024, 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Part of the Australian Heritage Festival 2024 Samford Branch Qld Country Womens Assn and the Samford District Historical Museum Society Inc combine to stroll through Samford Cemetery, the resting place of many of our pioneers and locals. |
Hear stories of benefactors, characters, tragedy, eerie times and more as we walk at a leisurely pace through the memorials in Samford Cemetery. Participants are welcome to share their stories at appropriate times. A member of the Samford Museum will lead the walk. Each year on or around 29th April, women worldwide celebrate ACWW’s international network by joining together to Walk the World. This is a great day to join your Associated Country Women of the World worldwide in raising awareness and funds for our vital work.
