You are tomorrow's history - what's your legacy?

Local author, Deborah Wheeler opens her historic home to the public and invites you to visit her during this period. Built in 1902 her home has been lovingly restored to its former glory. 

Author of five military related works, all held in the Australian War Memorial Collection, Deborah has a burning passion to help others discover Warwick's rich military history. During her talks she will shed light on some of the unique events which took place in Warwick during the First and Second World Wars. "Who threw the egg," learn the story behind the formation of the Australian Federal Police by Prime Minister Billy Hughes and more. Follow the journey of twenty eight local men who left Warwick on the 16th November 1915. See the route they followed on their walk to Brisbane as part of the Dungarees March. Explore Warwick's Commonwealth War Graves Commission site located at the old Warwick Cemetery and learn about some of the men buried there.
